Global Hiatus
“This is not a time for pleasure,
but for prayer.” Charles Stanley
A surge of immobility,
A moment of rest,
A test,
Evidence, demonstration of the
character already within.
Each of us, individuals and
families together, are being shown the true person within; the state of discovering the results of panic,
the choices of unassigned time,
the realization of how much
endurance, faith, and morality has been wrought over the years.
We are in a moment where we choose
how to react. We choose how we spend time without dictated structure.
Why do we choose comfort over
investment? We have been given the opportunity to rearrange the cornerstones of
our lives:
our faith, our mental and physical
beings, our relationships.
We finally have time without an
agenda to become the people we want to be.
The human response is to dread the
timing we can’t control; if we did not choose the hiatus, we do not desire it.
That response is not using uncontrollable events to our advantage. We cannot
choose external circumstances; we can only use them as a negative or positive
influence over our lives.
What will you choose to do?
