Manipulating Time

PC: KS Photos and Film I’m ready to put some distance between myself and the distance. The endless cycle of saying goodbye, the agonizing afterward, the reconstruction of normal life without the one I love the most, the routine, the longing, the anticipation, the hours I wait, the hello, all of the joy and the wonder of being near, and then anticipation of another approaching goodbye.  I’m ready to be in an LDR with long distance itself. So I have invented ways to rediscover time in less painful ways. If I can think of time on different terms, I automatically feel better. For example, 108 days until our “I do’s” is much less doable than 15 weeks. If I focus on the weeks rather than days, I’m a little bit more hopeful. If he comes home in 24 hours, I can sleep at least eight of those to make it less painful.
